Meet our PVA

 

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Jessica Elliott and I have been your Mercer County Property Valuation Administrator since December 2018. I am honored to serve as your PVA and would like to thank the citizens of Mercer County for placing their trust in me by electing me to this position and look forward to serving you for years to come.

 

Since being elected, it has been my desire to serve the public to the best of my ability; whether that be with up to date online records, informing the public about property tax exemptions, or simply helping with general office questions. Serving and treating others with the utmost respect is priority number 1 for the PVA office! And we will always be on the lookout for new ways to serve you.

 

Since being elected to serve as your P.V.A., I have made sure some of my goals for the office became reality. One of those goals was to have our property information available on the internet on an updated and more user-friendly website. I have set up the option to pay online through PayPal for our subscriptions, instead of sending a check and waiting for us to receive payment to get access. Having this type of information available with just the click of a mouse enables banks, appraisers, realtors, insurance companies, and others to transact their business much more effectively and timely. The new website holds pertinent information and forms for the general public as well as an estimated property tax calculator. It has also been one of my goals to create taxpayer awareness, which I have been able to accomplish by rolling out birthday cards to those 65 or older who are eligible for the Homestead Exemption.

 

I have many more goals for the office that will improve services for the citizens of Mercer County and I will be sure to keep you updated as these goals progress.
