The Mercer County P.V.A. Office welcomes Gene Moore as a new staff member. Gene, a native Mercer Countian, accepted the position of General Deputy and joined the office on September 1, 2009. Gene will be responsible for much of the fieldwork data collection of properties. Gene has a genuine desire to serve the citizens of Mercer County; so please stop by the office and welcome Gene and he will be happy to assist you.
Recently, at the 91st Conference on Assessment Administration, David Best, Mercer County PVA, Beth Noel, Chief Deputy and Tona Tudor, Customer Service Supervisor received the designation of Certified Kentucky Appraiser. To attain the designation, candidates must have a minimum of (3) three years experience with the Commonwealth of Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet Department of Revenue and have successfully completed 60 hours of educational courses through the Department of Revenue and 60 hours of educational courses through the International Association of Assessing Officers. Proudly representing Mercer County at the conference were the staff of the Mercer County PVA Office; David Best, Beth Noel, Tona Tudor, Stephen Terhune and Gene Moore.
